THE TRADITIONS OF SAMOS

Tradition is the heritage we receive from past generations, it is the content of culture and it is shaped through the centuries. The rich Mediterranean way fo life, the terrain, history, people, events and numerous other elements shape what we consider today as the Samian tradition. It is vivid in the taste and gastronomy, in the architecture, the homes and the public buildings, it is found in the dance and the music, in the objects  the Samians use on a daily basis either for their home life or their work life, for example to cultivate and produce vines and in the way they make wine or olive oil or a great variety of other products. Tradition is found everywhere and influences every aspect of life.
