North East
Samos town, Kokkari and around
This area is very attractive and it is the second most popular after the South East Area, where Pythagorion and the airport are.
The capital of Samos, called Samos Town or Vathy, is ideal for those who want to stay in a small city on the main port of Samos, the 3rd largest natural port in Greece. If shopping, city streets and the view of the sunset are essential for you, then Vathy is a good choice. From here it easy to reach the northern parts of the island (Kokkari, Karlovassi, etc) as well as the southern parts (Pythagorion, Ireon). Two of the closest beaches are Livadaki and Kedros.
Kokkari has a great beach but it is also the ideal place to stay if you are a fan of the most amazing beaches nature gifted Samos with (Lemonakia and Tsamadou).
Manolates, Vourliotes, Agios Konstantinos and the areas around also have hotels but mostly rooms and apartments that are in the heart of the green nature of Samos. Magnificent views to the sea, pathways in the forests and waters in numerous streams.
The attractive Kerveli, Posidonio and Klima bays are areas near Samos town that also have choices for your stay, so close to or even on the beach.
North West Samos

You have chosen to visit one of the biggest Greek islands and the 17th biggest in the Mediterranean Sea! Of course there are many more beaches to discover on the island of Samos. The 45 are considered by mySamos guide the easy to reach and most popular to visit during a 5-10 day stay. Yet, there are numerous other beaches, in most cases smaller or of lower interest for the majority (otherwise we would have included them at the “45” list).
