Travelling north of Pyrgos, we reach the little village called Mesogeios, with the church of Zoodohos Pigi. The new folklore museum is our first stop.
Ascending higher, at 630m above sea level, we meet Pandrosso, a wonderful village inside the forest.
From Pandrosso we can take a Jeep tour through the dirt roads that lead to the peaks of Mt Karvounes, to the chapel of Profitis Elias (on the top) and cross to the Northern side of the island (Vourliotes, Manolates, etc.).
