AGII THEODORI
Maybe the greenest area in Samos… Agii Theodori is a small village on your way from Karlovassi to the Southern part of the island. Another way to follow is when leaving Konteika village but instead of taking the way to Platanos we can head to Agii Theodori village.
The dense pine vegetation is really amazing and the small waterfalls on the side of the road provide enough water for the agriculture of the area. The small village is invisible from almost every angle. It was once called Kavaseika. Agioi Theodori church is imposing itself in the center. At the glens of the village there are two watermills, one of which is in relatively good condition. The central point of the village is at the church where the local kafenio (cafe) is while a place worth visiting are the old – yet abandoned – public laundries.
